Plan2Place Consulting was requested to peer review and redraft the planning scheme documentation for the Postcode 3081 Urban Design Framework (UDF) into the Banyule Planning Scheme.

The project involved reviewing and redrafting the exhibited Amendment C120 and associated Amendment documentation following the consideration of submissions and a decision by Council on the Amendment. Plan2Place Consulting redrafted the controls to ensure consistency with Ministerial Directions and ensure the strategic directions from the UDF were able to be implemented by the controls.

This occurred within short time frames in close consultation with Council officers and the consultants drafting the UDF to enable reconsideration by the community and stakeholders and for additional submissions to be considered prior to a Panel Hearing.

Few additional submissions were received to the Amendment and the revised
documentation resolved most statutory planning issues that were considered by the Panel with drafting of the Amendment based on the relevant Ministerial Direction and effective implementation of the UDF. Advice has also been provided on the best way to ensure the UDF and the controls are aligned.
